The Southern Shores Motel complex consists of eight distinctive buildings comprising a city block. The two main buildings are the Southern Shores Motel and the adjacent Bahama Hotel. In the main Southern Shores Motel building is the registration desk, where front-desk staff is available to assist guests 24 hours a day with transportation needs, restaurant recommendations, directions, and information on nearby activities. There are seven outdoor pools in the complex, two of which are heated. An intimately sized fitness room is located on site, as is a computer lounge (in the Bahama Hotel lobby). Additional amenities include gas barbeque grills, a restaurant and bar, and shuffleboard courts. The motel is 6 blocks from Fort Lauderdale’s famous beach strip, with its restaurants and shops, and 2 miles from upscale Las Olas Boulevard.
