What to expect: Clarion Resort Lauderdale is located about four miles north of downtown Fort Lauderdale, in the village of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Comprised of one two-level building and two five-story buildings, the property sits between the beach and Route A1A. A small lobby has tropical-style décor, and a seating area that looks out on Route A1A. The beachfront location/casual atmosphere draws families and vacationing travelers. Amenity highlights:A large pool and sundeck are set between the hotel’s main building and the ocean beach. There is also a children's wading pool, and a poolside bar and grill. Also onsite, the fitness center is equipped with cardio-vascular exercise equipment. Scuba diving lessons can be arranged, as well. Insider tip: Eight miles away, Las Olas Waterfront offers popular shopping and restaurant venues, often touted as some of the area's best.
